2. PRODUCTS
2.1 METERING PUMPS
A. Metering pumps shall be suitable for pumping a solution of ( ) at maximum capacity of ( ) at a maximum backpressure of ( ) psi. Pumps shall be Wallace & Tiernan Encore 100 Series Diaphragm Metering Pumps or equal.
B. Pumps shall be of the positive displacement mechanical diaphragm type. A lost-motion cam and spring mechanism driven by a variable speed DC motor shall actuate a diaphragm.
C. Solenoid driven pumps shall not be acceptable under this specification.
D. The liquid ends shall include integral sight flow indication via clear cartridge type check valves.
E. Repeatable accuracy shall be +/- 2% of full scale over the operating range.
F. Pumps shall be equipped with two adjustments to permit setting of feed rate: manual stroke length adjustment and automatic SCR control with a flow proportional controller. Stroke length shall be controlled via a 5-turn micrometer-type adjuster and shall be adjustable over a 10:1 operating range.
G. The flow proportional controller shall have the following features:
- Microprocessor based with a NEMA 4X enclosure
- 4-20 mA input signal capability
- Keypad and backlit LCD display form which operator may perform configuration, calibration and diagnostics

H. Pump shall be self priming and capable of operating with a suction lift of 10 feet of water.
I. Power input shall be 120 VAC

G. Pump shall be equipped with a multi-function valve capable of performing following functions: back pressure, pressure relief, priming, and draining of discharge line. Valve body shall be constructed of ( ).
H. An auto de-gas valve shall be provided in order to improve operation under start-stop operation. Body material shall be Kynar.
I. One standard preventative maintenance kit shall be provided for each pump supplied.
