2.01 GENERAL
A. All wiring, hardware, and connection means shall be in compliance with the National Electrical Code and or applicable local codes.
B. The system specified herein is composed of both a flowhead mounted in the pipe and a display/transmitter module which can be mounted either integrally with the flowhead or remotely.
2.02 MOUNTING
A. The unit shall be mounted as shown in the construction drawings.
B. Mounting guidelines shall be followed as indicated in the installation instructions as provided by the manufacturer.
2.03 EQUIPMENT
2.03.1 Flowhead
A. The size and flow range shall be as indicated on the construction drawings.
B. Process connection shall be 150 lb. ANSI B16.5 RF flanges. Wafer style or NPT connections shall not be acceptable.
C. Materials of Construction:
a. Body and flanges - 316 stainless steel
b. Rotor shaft and bearings – tungsten carbide
D. Maximum pressure rating shall be 275 psi
E. Temperature rating shall be 0 to 140 F
2.03.2 Transmitter/Display
A. This unit shall be fully programmable from the front panel keypad.
B. Mounting shall be either integral with the meter or remote as indicated on the construction drawings.
C. Display shall be 2-line LCD with rate, resettable total, and non-resettable total.
D. Power Required: 12-28 VDC with battery memory backup.
E. Outputs shall be scaleable 4-20 mA.
F. Linearity shall be <= +/- 0.5% over a 10:1 turndown with a repeatability of 0.05%.
G. Environmental rating shall be NEMA 4X.
2.04 MANUFACTURERS
A. Unit shall be an Invalco W4 Series with Model No. 505T Display/Transmitter or engineer approved equal.
3.01 INSTALLATION
A. Personnel who are certified in all applicable electrical practices, standards, codes, and wiring techniques as they pertain to installing field instrumentation shall perform installation.
B. Installers shall follow all applicable safety standards and perform work on only de-energized electrical systems.
C. Installers shall follow manufacturers installation instructions provided with the unit. All field wiring and grounding shall be installed in strict accordance with the manufacturer’s installation manual.
